The PMDD Lab

1. General
1.1 These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern the use of The PMDD Lab mobile application (the "App"), provided by Bloomful Planners, a Finnish sole trader, business ID 3485996-4, Sarvijaakonkatu 16 A 9, 33540 Tampere, Finland ("Bloomful", "we", "us").
1.2 By downloading or using the App, the user agrees to these Terms. The processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
2. The App
2.1 The App is a self-tracking tool based on Bloomful's workbook The PMDD Lab. It allows users to record their wellbeing across the menstrual cycle, carry out habit experiments and review their own observations.
2.2 Bloomful may change, add or remove features of the App. The user's access to information they have recorded will not be removed.
3. No medical advice
3.1 The App is not a medical device. It does not provide medical advice and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition.
3.2 Cycle and symptom-window predictions are estimates. Information about habits, research sources and AI readings is provided for general information and self-reflection only.
3.3 Users should consult a doctor or other qualified health professional about their health, before making changes to medication or supplements, and whenever their symptoms give cause for concern.
3.4 The App is not an emergency service. A user who is in crisis or at risk of harming themselves should contact local emergency services or a crisis helpline immediately. Crisis resources are available in the App's settings.
4. Eligibility
The App may be used only by persons aged 18 or over.
5. Free features and The Lab
5.1 The App includes features available free of charge and a paid membership, The Lab. The features included in each are described in the App.
5.2 Logs recorded by the user, the tracker and the results of the user's experiments remain available to the user whether or not the user has an active membership.
6. Subscriptions
6.1 The Lab is offered as a monthly or yearly subscription purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play (the "Store"). Payment is processed by the Store under its terms.
6.2 The yearly subscription may include a free trial period for new subscribers. Unless cancelled before the end of the trial period, the subscription continues as a paid subscription.
6.3 Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each subscription period at the price then in effect, unless automatic renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
6.4 Users can manage and cancel their subscription in their Store account settings. On cancellation, access to The Lab continues until the end of the current paid period.
6.5 Refunds are handled by the Store in accordance with its policies. Nothing in these Terms limits the user's rights under mandatory consumer protection law.
6.6 Price changes are communicated by the Store before they apply to the user.
7. AI readings
7.1 AI readings are generated automatically by a third-party artificial intelligence service on the basis of a summary of the user's records, and only at the user's request.
7.2 AI readings may contain errors or omissions. They describe patterns in the user's own records and do not establish that one factor causes another.
7.3 The number of AI readings available is limited as described in the App, and the service may at times be unavailable.
8. User content
The information the user records in the App belongs to the user and is stored on the user's device. The user is responsible for keeping backups of their data.
9. Intellectual property
The App and its content, including texts, workbook material, designs and images, are owned by Bloomful or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. The user is granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. The user may not copy, distribute, modify or reverse-engineer the App or its content except as permitted by law.
10. Acceptable use
The user may not misuse the App, including by attempting to circumvent limits on AI readings, interfering with Bloomful's servers, or using the App in breach of applicable law.
11. Limitation of liability
11.1 The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Bloomful does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free.
11.2 To the extent permitted by law, Bloomful is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions made by the user on the basis of information in the App.
11.3 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, or the user's statutory rights as a consumer.
12. Changes to these Terms
Bloomful may amend these Terms. The effective date above shows when they were last changed. Users will be informed in the App before material changes take effect. A user who does not accept the amended Terms may stop using the App and cancel their subscription.
13. Governing law and disputes
13.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Consumers resident in the European Union also benefit from the mandatory provisions of the law of their country of residence.
13.2 A consumer may refer a dispute to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (www.kuluttajariita.fi) or to a competent court.
